Animal feed testing will be conducted in accordance with the following regulations:
- QCVN 01-183:2016/BNNPTNT: National technical regulation on animal feed – Maximum levels of mycotoxins, heavy metals, and microorganisms in compound feeds for livestock and poultry.
- QCVN 01 - 78: 2011/BNNPTNT: National technical regulation on animal feeding stuffs – Criteria of safety and maximum allowable levels in animal feed.
There are many testing criteria for animal feed; however, testing centers typically perform animal feed testing based on the following parameters:
Animal feed testing based on common parameters usually includes:
- Protein
- Fiber
- Crude fat
- Ash
- Calcium
- Phosphorus
- Sodium chloride
- Moisture content
Animal feed testing based on trace mineral parameters includes:
- Copper
- Iron
- Zinc
- Manganese
However, the above animal feed testing parameters only specify the analytical fluctuation range for basic quality parameters. In practice, depending on the intended use and ingredient composition, businesses will be advised on appropriate testing parameters.
